Internal Regulations
Submission of proposalsOne month prior to the due date for submission of the Research Proposal, a draft proposal should be submitted to the School Postgraduate Committee. The draft proposal will be examined by two members of this committee (or one member of the committee and another academic co-opted for their relevant expertise) and feedback given to the student. At this point, the student may also be asked to give an oral presentation of their proposal. This review will enable the committee to determine whether the draft proposal is generally acceptable (perhaps with minor revisions), requires major revision, or requires postponement of the submission date. The final research proposal should be submitted through the Chair of the School Postgraduate Committee who will forward it to the UWA PhD Committee. Confirmation of CandidatureStudents are required to meet a number of milestones in the first year of enrolment (or part-time equivalent) before their candidature in the PhD program is confirmed. The requirements can be found at Graduate Research School - Confirmation of Candidature for PhD Students
Annual reportsThe annual report must be submitted to the School Postgraduate Committee no less than two weeks prior to the due date.
