School Support

Basic support

Each student enrolled in a postgraduate research degree in the School of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences will be provided with basic office facilities including a PC at the location where they will intend to conduct the bulk of their research. In addition, each student is eligible to access a fund held by the school to cover incidental costs that are incurred as a result of research activities that could not be foreseen at the time of submission of the research proposal. These funds are able to be accessed up to an annual limit based on mode of enrolment (full-time, part-time or joint enrolment).

Travel support

Travel support may be used to enable attendance at one conference during the student's candidature. To be eligible, the student must present a paper or poster at the designated conference.

Travel support may be supplemented by the University Postgraduate Student Travel Award available from the University Postgraduate Research Office.

Although students are encouraged to present their work at conferences, and support to attend more than one conference during the student's candidature will be considered, the level of travel support is at the discretion of their supervisor and the Head of School.

A summary of the support available and conditions attached can be found at the Graduate Research School - School Research Resources
