About Us

The School of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences is part of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at The University of Western Australia. It is the only academic School of Psychiatry in the State and is based at three teaching hospitals in the Perth metropolitan area: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital and Fremantle Hospital, as well as at the Graylands Hospital campus and Hollywood Private Hospital. The School also includes a WHO Collaborating Centre.

The School provides teaching in clinical and research topics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition, the School contributes to the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) teaching programs and provides service teaching to health professionals locally, nationally and internationally.
