Centre for Clinical Research in Neuropsychiatry

The Centre specialises in psychiatric and neuroscience research and education.

There are four strategic objectives:

To create in Western Australia an academic centre of excellence in psychiatric and neuroscience research that will be nationally and internationally competitive.
To generate a scientific database supporting advanced research into the aetiology of the major mental disorders, their management and treatment, and evaulation of interventions and service delivery.
To provide basic and advanced research training and supervision.
To contribute towards educating the public about:
1. scientific understanding of mental disorders
2. advances in their treatment
3. role of a supportive social environment in improving their outcome.
